    Ecosummit accelerates smart green startups, investors and corporates in Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, London and Paris. We promote startups, support co-investing and facilitate open innovation and corporate venturing. We focus on smart green cities, energy, mobility, buildings, IoT, AI, robotics and blockchain to foster the energy transition and low-carbon economy. Ecosummit Stockholm 2017 took place on 12 September 2017 at Nasdaq, Tullvaktsvägen 15, 105 78 Stockholm, Sweden. The agenda presents 55 speakers including 43 startups.

    • Mayor Karin Wanngård was born in 1975 in Stockholm. Wanngård studied human resources at the University of Stockholm and worked in human resources management before becoming a full time politician. Karin Wanngård has a long and impressive political career and she entered the Stockholm City Council in 1994. Representing the Social Democratic Party she acted as Opposition Vice Mayor in 2011-2014 and during the same period also as Vice President of the City Executive Board. After the general elections in 2014 the City Council elected Karin Wanngård to be the Mayor of Stockholm. Wanngård is President of the City Executive Board, Chair of the board of Stockholm Stadshus AB and Group leader of the Social Democratic Party in the City of Stockholm. Wanngård is also Vice President of EUROCITIES, a Co-leader of C40 Low-carbon District Network, a Champion Mayor of OECD Inclusive Growth in Cities, a member of EU-commissioner Moeda´s High-level Panel of the European Decarbonisations Pathways and a Board-member of Strong-Cities Network.

    • Åsmund Møll Frengstad is CEO and Founder of Meshcrafts. Åsmund studied Mechanical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Life Science (NMBU) with focus on product development, renewable energy and IPR. Åsmund Møll Frengstad delivered his master thesis in May 2014, “The usage of shore power as a mean to reduce emissions in Norwegian ports” which he wrote in co-operation with Hafenstrom, a Norwegian startup focusing on battery aggregated power to ships. While at university Åsmund worked as a design engineer and production line engineer for Radiocrafts, were he learned a lot about RF systems and communication. This experience had a huge influence on how Meshcrafts does and thinks business. Åsmund also did some design work for a sensor box for Tinymesh which again gave insight into the embedded software layer on the radio chip. At the university Åsmund founded Meshcrafts as student enterprise. Meshcrafts SB won several prices, including Zero and TEKNA Best Technical Student Project 2014. Meshcrafts SB also won the Best Student Enterprise at NMBU and the INVEN2 Start, which gave Meshcrafts the starting capital to be incorporated. Later in 2014 Meshcrafts won “the pitch” at EU SME Assembly. The same year in December Meshcrafts was incorporated, in June 2014 Meshcrafts moved out of Campus and into Oslo and StartUpLab.

Caritta was selected as one of the Top 10 Women Who Tech by WSC and Craig Newmark in 2017. Her company Tespack was recently awarded as the Best Energy Startup in EU 2017 by European Commission and European Parliament.

Velove is a Swedish ultra light vehicle and city logistics company, founded in 2015 and headquartered in Gothenburg with 9 employees. It has a vehicle, the Armadillo cargobike, that is considered the most productive, safe and good-looking in its class, and is right now ramping up production. Together with the groundbreaking City Container, Velove can achieve radical (almost factor 20) energy and resource efficiency gains in last mile logistics compared to electric vans, and even more compared to ICE vans. This solution also eliminates noise, particle emissions and releases valuable space. The main commercial argument is however that double delivery productivity is achieved in dense city centres, at half the total cost of ownership compared to van based delivery.
