Ecosummit Berlin 2013 takes place on 4-5 June and features Ecosummit Award 2013. The ECO13 Award brings fame and fortune to the best early and late stage smart green startups. Ecosummit Award is integrated with our new online platform Ecosummit Market. To apply for the award, please create a public startup profile on Ecosummit Market and click on “Apply for ECO13 Award.” The application deadline is 20 May 2013. 43 cleantech startups are nominated.

For the second time, Ecosummit Award 2013 rewards the best smart green startups with fame (publicity) and fortune (prize money). To select the ECO13 Award winners, the Facebook community and our expert jury independently judge product innovation (value proposition and technology), business potential (business model and revenues) and environmental benefit. We will present and celebrate the winners at our ECO13 Award Party on 4 June 2013 at the Radialsystem in Berlin.

Winners of Jury Voting: €3.000, €2.000 and €1.000 plus 2 ECO13 Berlin tickets go to the 3 best startups that convince the jury. The judges select their jury winners until 27 May 2013. The gold medalist also gets a free pitch opportunity.

1. Gold: €3.000 + 2 ECO13 tickets + 8-min Pitch @ Ecosummit Berlin 2013
2. Silver: €2.000 + 2 ECO13 tickets
3. Bronze: €1.000 + 2 ECO13 tickets

Winners of Facebook Voting: 2 ECO13 Berlin tickets go to the 3 best startups winning the Facebook voting. The number of Facebook votes will be finally counted on 27 May 2013, 24:00 CET, to identify the Facebook winners. The gold medalist also gets a free pitch opportunity.

All startups with profiles on Ecosummit Market and a successful ECO13 Award nomination may also email us their 10-slide investor presentation to pitch@ecosummit.net to apply for an investor pitch at ECO13 Berlin. If you are fundable and qualify for an investor pitch, we will ask the speaker to buy an ECO13 Berlin startup ticket which costs €595,00 including VAT.

Investor Pitch Application Guideline

To make our selection process easier, we kindly ask you to send us a 10-slide investor presentation that we keep confidential. Please email your investor presentation to pitch@ecosummit.net.

Your ECO13 investor pitch presentation should have the following structure:

1. Company (location, employees, funding, revenues, investors, partners, customers)
2. Market (market description, market size)
3. Product (problem, solution, value proposition, USP)
4. Technology (overview, patent situation)
5. Competition (main direct competitors)
6. Team (founders, management team, track record)
7. Business Case (5-year summary)
8. New Funding (capital to be raised, use of funds)

If you are selected, it is highly recommended that you practice your pitch and timing as much as possible. We will also provide you with a speaker manual with useful tips, e.g. using the speaker display and speaker clock in front of you and looking at the audience and Ecosummit TV cameras at all times. Please note that all investor pitches will be published on Ecosummit TV which has received over 50.000 video views so far. Therefore, only public information should be included during the live presentation.
