The Cradle to Cradle (C2C) project seminar module “Science means responsibility” at Leuphana University in semester 2010/2011 engages the Cradle to Cradle design concept of Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart and William McDonough. The design concept’s foundation principles are first independently studied, presented and discussed, the C2C principles being: waste equals food, use current solar income, celebrate diversity, and the bio- and techno-spheres. Thereafter, the students took up group projects. They divided themselves into four different projects, each project being conducted in cooperation with external partners:
