For four years, he has helped to finance and build large solar projects on commercial roofs and fields throughout Europe. In 2011, he met Pierre Vermeulen, the founder of Solease, who had just started with its solar lease concept. By the end of 2012 Pierre wanted to bring a shareholder/CFO on board and Roderick decided to join. Since 2013 Roderick has helped Solease to raise over EUR 9m in funding. Solease leases solar panels to private homeowners through a full-service concept. The Solease model works with a fixed monthly fee which includes the purchase and installation of the solar system as well as the cost of financing, insurance and repair.
