Idea
Ecosummit is the international Smart Green Business Network and Conference for investors, startups, corporates and utilities fostering cleantech, renewable energy, emobility, smart green city and sustainability. Our goal is the fast transformation to the Smart Green Economy powered by 100% renewable energy. Ecosummit acts as a smart green quality filter promoting companies that are valuable for our ecology, economy and society, online on Ecosummit.net and Ecosummit TV and offline at our events.
The idea for the Ecosummit Award 2012 (ECO12 Award) is to reward the best smart green startups with fame and fortune (publicity and prize money). To select the ECO12 Award winners, the Facebook community and our expert jury judge product innovation (value proposition and technology), business potential (revenues) and environmental benefit. We will present and celebrate the winners at our ECO12 Award party on 22 March 2012 in Berlin.

More award sponsors sharing part of the prize money are welcome. Prizes
Winners of jury voting: We pay out a total of €15.000 prize money to the 3 best startups that successfully convinced the jury with their strategy, product innovation, execution and business potential. The judges select their jury winners during the week from 5 to 11 March 2012.
- Gold: €7.500
- Silver: €5.000
- Bronze: €2.500
Winners of Facebook voting: We award a total of 6 ECO12 tickets to the 3 best startups winning the Facebook voting. The number of Facebook votes will be finally counted on 1 March 2012, 24:00 CET to identify the Facebook winners.

- Silver: 2 ECO12 tickets
- Bronze: 1 ECO12 ticket
Jury
We have assembled an awesome ECO12 Award jury which includes 53 smart green executives representing startups, VCs, corporates, utilities, service providers and specialised press.
Application
Applications for the ECO12 Award are accepted until 1 March 2012. You can apply for the ECO12 Award if you are a smart green startup and have an innovative product with promising business potential and positive environmental impact. The sooner you send in your ECO12 Award application, the more visibility you will have.

We have 52 ECO12 Award nominees from 9 countries that are ranked by Facebook votes (likes). Thanks a lot for your applications, we are crossing our fingers for you. Please vote for your favourite nominees and spread the word.
Award Ceremony and Party
In the evening of the first ECO12 conference day, Thursday, 22 March 2012, we will celebrate the big ECO12 Award party in the fantastic ECO12 Location called Radialsystem featuring award ceremony, healthy dinner buffet, delicious drinks, live band, groovy DJs and an awesome guestlist.
