Futurist Gerd Leonhard, CEO of The Futures Agency, talks about Sustainable Capitalism and why we have to move from Ego to Eco. People and corporations alike should be sustainable by default in everything they do. The Internet enables a decentralised sharing economy in which we share energy and all other resources collaborating instead of competing. A new form of sustainable capitalism is the only way forward into a smart green future.

Today we have received good news from Youtube: Ecosummit TV has been granted official Youtube Partner status. This means we can now upload long videos (> 15 min) and include advertising to refinance our production costs. Ecosummit TV is the free on-demand IPTV channel covering the great transformation to the Smart Green Economy. We have started Ecosummit TV on 20 February 2011 and uploaded 42 videos in full HD quality that achieved 4.280 views as of today. Thanks to Youtube and Apple, Ecosummit TV is, in fact, high-quality Mobile TV as it looks fantastic on the iPhone and iPad.

In our new Ecosummit TV episode Jan Michael Hess and Julian von Bluecher, the small but strong ECO11 organising team, give a short preview of the ECO11 Agenda. Tomorrow, we drive to Dresden, Germany’s Green Photonics capital to interview Novaled (Organic LED) and Heliatek (Organic PV).
